Nocturne, Parody on a theme by Ferenc Liszt (Foxtrot)

It was the violin virtuoso Niccolò Paganini who, playing at a charity concert for the victims of a Parisian cholera epidemic, inspired Franz Liszt to become one of the most technically advanced pianist of his time. Raising the level of performance to previously unimagined heights, Liszt was counted to the Parisian “Flying Trapeze” school of piano playing.

Liszt was also a well known romantic composer. And every composer of his stature deserves a good parody!  

And here it is, a beautiful Foxtrot-arrangement for orchestra on one of his melodies. Luckily, this arrangement is not as hard to master as the compositions of the master himself!
